The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) offers the programs and services you need in today's challenging world to be a highly successful communications professional:

IABC Now Accepting Monthly Payments* -

On April 15, 2005 , IABC began allowing members to pay their membership dues in four equal monthly payments.

*The following guidelines apply:

1. The program is open only to professional members who pay full dues annually. Not eligible are student, student transition, 500 Club, retired, or corporate members.

2. Members will be charged the four equal monthly installments in the *first* four months of the membership. The first payment will be charged immediately; the second a month later, the third two months later, and the fourth and final three months later.

3. This program is available through online join and renew only. The option to pay in four installments will appear automatically as part of the usual online process at http://www.iabc.com/join or http://www.iabc.com/renew.

4. Only credit card payments are eligible. The credit card must have an expiration date that is after the date when the last payment (fourth installment, three months later) will be charged.

7. If a credit card is declined during any of the four installments, the membership will be cancelled immediately. The following procedure will be followed before cancellation: IABC will try to charge the card on 4 consecutive days. If it has been declined on each of the 4 days, IABC will attempt to contact the member by email or phone. If there is no resolution after these attempts, IABC will cancel the membership.

IABC San Antonio sponsors stimulating monthly meetings allowing both industry veterans and "newbies" to hone their business communications skills, and network with their peers. Electronic Newsletter
Sign up today to receive our chapter's monthly e-newsletter, e-mailed free of charge to members and nonmembers alike. This periodic publication includes information on upcoming professional development meetings and programs, updates on chapter business, new member contact information, directory changes — even info on programs presented by related professional organizations. Our newsletter is the local counterpart to Communication World, IABC International's award-winning magazine sent to members worldwide.

"Bronze Quill" Awards Program
This is IABC San Antonio's local answer to the prestigious communications award programs sponsored by IABC International ("Gold Quill") and our IABC Southern Region ("Silver Quill"). Members receive a discount on the cost of entry fees and the awards dinner. Click to find out more.

Communication World
This award-winning magazine, published eight times a year, features insightful articles, creative problem-solving tips and updates on international IABC news written by recognized leaders in the communications field.

Online Resources
You'll find a variety of national and international resources on www.iabc.com. To access member-only areas, use your member number (found on the mailing label of your latest issue of Communication World and given during your membership sign-up process). The site allows you to search for IABC members and staff, access current and back issues of Communication World, order audio tapes and Knowledge Centre materials, and post messages for input from other IABC members.

Become Accredited
IABC offers the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) designation to members through its professional development program. The IABC gives professional communicators a way to not only demonstrate their ability to think and plan strategically, but also to successfully manage those skills essential to effective organizational communication.

Renowned Awards Programs
The "Gold Quill" is IABC International's highly competitive and prestigious awards program open to members at discounted rates. The call for entries usually goes out in the fall. Deadlines typically are early in the following year, and the awards are presented at IABC's acclaimed international conference in June. IABC International sponsors a two-day Chapter Leader Institute every year to help train incoming local chapter boards and future organizational leaders.
