"It is change, continuing change, inevitable change, that is the dominant factor in society today.” – Issac Asimov
That quote from the late science fiction author certainly sums up communications today. With the Internet fast becoming the primary information source for most of the industrialized world, many traditional forms of communications are rapidly being displaced by newer forms; e.g., Websites, social media networks, blogs, wikis, podcasts, virtual worlds, games and mobile audio and video. All this is having a profound impact on our world, our personal lives and our profession.
Pam McConathy will explore these emerging trends from a communicator’s point of view. She'll offer a seasoned, senior-level perspective on:
- what’s really going on,
- where it’s likely to lead,
- where to focus our attention, and
- why communicators already know what to do.
If you want to help your company or clients navigate through changing communications waters churned by today's--and tomorrow's--technology, you won't want to miss hearing all Pam's insightful tips you can start using immediately.
BIO: As president of Foresight Communications in Houston, Pam's focus is applying foresight methods and processes to strategic communications planning, and identifying trends in media and PR.
